David Adam Byrnes - (Set time: 10:30 PM)
David Adam Byrnes
If you want honest, true, country music, that’s what you’ll find with David Adam Byrnes. Although this Arkansas native has been in Music City for a decade now, his roots still run deep in his southern upbringing and values. His music and natural stage presence are direct reflections of the hard work that was instilled in him by his parents from a young age. David’s musical style is also a reflection of something that was imbedded in his DNA from the ripe age of three when his parents took him to see his first concert, George Strait. That concert lit a fire in the child that has fueled his love for music and performing. He started performing concerts in his living room and refused to wear anything but boots, a belt buckle and wranglers, which soon earned him the nickname "George Strait" from people around town.

His first gig was playing with a local group of volunteers called The Telephone Pioneers that performed at local nursing homes; he was 5 when he started and played with them until the day he left Sherwood for Nashville at 19. When he told his family he was moving and had already put a deposit down for rent, his mom told him, “I sure hope this works out, I know you don’t know how to do anything else.” His mom’s hopes came true. Not long after his move, David found himself on the road opening for legendary country star, Mark Chesnutt. Chesnutt’s album, “Saving The Honky Tonk,” served as a saving grace for Byrnes during his high school days when real country music was becoming scarce. While on the road with Mark, David was invited onstage with the chart topping country artist to sing songs off of the album that influenced his career.

Fast-forward a few years and two albums later, Byrnes has garnered a vast number of fans across the country due to his almost two hundred tour dates a year. He’s shared the stage with artists such as Tracy Lawrence, Hank Williams Jr., Jake Owen, Thomas Rhett, Brett Eldredge and many others. One of his recent performances was at the 2016 National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. He also secured a coveted spot on Nashville based Silverado Records’ roster alongside multi-platinum country icon Joe Diffie. A third album is in the works for this country crooner and he plans to continue to tour throughout 2017. “Country music just comes natural to me. Songs about life, doin’ what’s right, family, respect for yourself and others, dirt under your finger nails, drinkin’ beer with your friends, it’s all I know. It’s how I grew up,” says Byrnes. “I want to contribute to the culture and community that made me who I am. I find peace in the fact that even though it seems like the world’s gone crazy, there will always be country music.”

David has never strayed from his traditional country style even when Nashville’s sound seemed to be changing drastically. Now with other artists such as Cody Johnson, Aaron Watson and Trent Willmon fighting to preserve the legacy of country music greats, Byrnes is confident this genre he’s passionate about isn’t going anywhere. “It’s real, it’s natural and it’s not over-produced,” says Byrnes. “People connect with that and have connected with that for generations. I want to make music that is good, not what’s popular and I think that’s what my fans want as well so that’s what I’m going to do.”
